Dental Care — Dr. D'Abundo in Merrick, NY

DR. D'ABUNDO

Dr. D'Abundo was born and raised in New York City and currently resides in Nassau County. He graduated from St. Francis College in 1986 with a B.S. in biology. Afterward he attended NYU and graduated with a DDS in 1991. Dr. D'Abundo did his post graduate studies at Kings County/Downstate Medical Center and at Woodhull Hospital Center and an Oral Maxillofacial Surgery fellowship at Wyckoff Medical Center.

Dr. D'Abundo joined Merrick Oral Surgery in 2003 and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. D'Abundo also served our country for 14 years in the U.S Naval Reserve, obtaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He is a member of ADA, ADMS, and ABOMS. Dr. D'Abundo's interests are skiing, scuba diving, and kenpo karate.
Dentist —Dr. John Soh in Merrick, NY

DR. JOHN SOH

Dr. John Soh was raised in Queens, New York and is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School in New York City. Following high school, Dr. Soh graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a B.S. in biology. Dr. Soh received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2000 from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. He continued his education and training with an Oral Maxillofacial Surgery internship at University Hospital of Medicine and Dentistry in NJ. Dr. Soh completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from NYU Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital Center in 2005. He served as Chief Resident at NYU Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital, VA Medical Center, Lenox Hill Hospital, and NY Eye and Ear Infirmary. The NYU/Bellevue Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program provides full scope surgical training in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including maxillofacial trauma, oral maxillofacial pathology, reconstructive surgery, corrective jaw surgery (orthogenetic), TMJ, anesthesia, wisdom teeth extraction, bone grafting, and dental implants.

Prior to joining Drs. Kramer, Garfield, and D'Abundo, Dr. Soh practiced in South Jersey, he also served as an attending at South Jersey Hospital, with emphasis on maxillofacial trauma. Dr. Soh is a member of the American Association or Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, ADA, and certified in ACLS, ATLS, and BLS. Dr. Soh currently lives on Long Island.

DR. MARTIN GARFIELD

Dr. Martin Garfield has practiced oral surgery in Merrick for 40 years. He was born and raised in New York City and graduated from Cornell University in 1964 with a B.S. in Microbiology. In 1968 he received his DDS from NYU. From 1968 to 1971 he performed a three year oral surgery residency at Coney Island Hospital in conjunction with a one year post graduate degree in oral surgery from NYU. He taught post graduate Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Coney Island Hospital and Kings County Hospital. He is currently on the staff at Mercy Hospital. Dr. Garfield is a member of ADA, AAOMS, and AGD.
